Anna T. (Thibeault) Kinney, 96, of Chelmsford but formerly of Brookline, NH, and the matriarch of a well-known Greater Lowell family, died Thursday morning at the Northwood Rehab Center in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.She was the beloved wife of the late Francis C. “Bucky” Kinney who died in 1984.Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Jeremiah and the late Annie (McQuillan) Thibeault, she received her education in the Lowell schools system.While living in Brookline, she was an active communicant of the former Infant Jesus of Prague Church in Brookline and was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality.Anna is survived by three daughters Frances E. McCarthy and her husband David of North Chelmsford, Linda Kinney of Jaffrey, NH and Donna Davis of Acton; six sons George Kinney and his wife Martha of Brookline, Norman Kinney and his wife Darlene of Dracut, H. Michael Kinney of Norway, ME, Donald Kinney of Nashua, NH, Peter Kinney and his wife Fernanda of Dracut and David Kinney and his wife Tammy of Brookline, NH; 28 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late William J. Kinney, grandmother of the late Brian Kinney, the late Kathleen Kinney and the late Heidi Davis. Anna was also the predeceased sister of the late Rita Kiriakakos, George Thibeault, Mary McElholm, Mildred Evans, Pete Thibeault, and James Thibeault.The Kinney family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outstanding care and comfort their mother received as a resident of Northwood Rehab Center from the many nurses and staff members.Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at ST. MARY CHURCH in CHELMSFORD at 11 o’clock.
