Loving mother, grandmother and friend

 Joan M. (Horan) Fenlon, 80, of Lowell, died Thursday morning, June 28th at the Saab Residence with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Gerald Humphrey “Gerry” Fenlon who died September 16, 2015.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Bernard B. and the late Marion E. (Gould) Horan, she attended St. Margaret Elementary School and was a graduate of Keith Hall in Lowell.
 Joan was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell where she was also a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.
 Before retiring, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at UMass Lowell for over 20 years. Previously, she worked as a Customer Service Representative at Sears in Lowell.
 Joan loved life.  She enjoyed frequent trips to Aruba and Seabrook Beach with Gerry as well as spending time with friends dining out and playing cards. Joan's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and many close dear friends. 
 Joan is survived by a daughter Geralyn J. Snow and her husband Kenneth B. of Pelham, NH; a son Michael G. Fenlon and his wife Susan E. of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren Sean B. Fenlon, Emma R. Fenlon, Cory K. Snow and Sydney L. Snow; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
 She was also sister of the late John J. Horan and the late Donald B. Horan.
 Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and Joan's many friends at the Saab Residence for their compassionate care and concern for their mother during the years she lived there.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 2 to 6 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at ST. MARGARET  CHURCH in Lowell at 10 o’clock. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at
