Penelope J. (Katakos) Chicklis 

beloved sister-in law, godmother, aunt and cousin;

 

Penelope J. (Katakos) Chicklis of Milia, Messsinia, Greece, former resident of Dracut, MA, passed away peacefully in Greece on Thursday October 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late John C.Chicklis, who passed away in 1998.

Born in Milia, Messinia, Greece, April 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Panayiotis and Stavroula Katakos, she received her early education in Greece.

After immigrating to the United States, Penelope worked as a successful local seamstress for many years in the Lowell area.

She was active in her church, the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and sewing.

Penelope is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a special godson, Anastasios Badas of Oxford, CT.

Relatives and friends may call at the TRANSFIGURATION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH in LOWELL from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday morning October 17, 2018 followed by her Funeral Service at the Church at 11 o'clock. Her burial will take place at the Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
