(1929-2022)



Richard Adams Nininger was a lifelong New Yorker, architect, genealogist, and craftsman.  He had a wry sense of humor and an unmatched wit.

Born in Bronxville, NY, Richard earned his BFA and MFA from Yale, served in the Marines (1951-1953), and enjoyed many trips to Europe.

Richard visited his grandmother, Marietta Jefferson and other family in Lowell as a child.  Richard made his home in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and was a beloved member of his community.

He leaves behind three generations of nieces and nephews who adored him.  Richard was buried in the Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, MA, among his ancestors. E-condolences at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com. Local arrangements by the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME – LOWELL (978) 458-8768.
