Francis Duggan

loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend

Francis J. Duggan III (Frank or "F.J."), 67 passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on December 31st, 2021 after courageously battling cancer, surrounded by his loving family and close friends.

Proud of his upbringing, Frank was a native of Lowell, Massachusetts born October 11, 1954, the son of the late Frank and Mary Harriet Duggan and member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Frank was an avid golfer.  During his years in Lowell, as a longtime member of Vesper Country Club in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, Frank would often be golfing with friends and family.  Never at a loss for words, Frank's personality, quick wit and supportive outlook was admired by all.

Frank moved to Naples eleven years ago and immediately became an anchor in the community. Following a successful career of 40 years in medical equipment sales, Frank continued his success as a Real Estate agent for Premier Sotheby's International Realty.  Frank was a member of the Naples Area Board of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. As a 1976 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Frank was active in its alumni association as the Assistant Alumni Director of Southwest Florida Massachusetts Alumni and was very active in creating a memorable St. Patrick's Day Parade and Red Sox Jet Blue Experience.

For over 10 years, Frank was a Naples Community Hospital volunteer and a former auxiliary board member, two-time Ambassador of the Year for the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer at Saint Ann Catholic Church and the Annual Naples Wine Festival, and a former board member of the Flamingo Estates Civic Association.

Commended for his unparalleled dignity, character and loyalty Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane Ditto of Bonita Springs, Florida, his children Francis J. Duggan IV, Marykathryn Duggan, Stepdaughter Amy Hicks of Naples, Florida and Stepson Joey Rubin and his wife Ashton Rubin of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Maryann Longval and her husband Scott Longval of Englewood, Florida; one brother, James Duggan and his wife Lanette Duggan of Dennisport, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Christian Duggan, Aubrey Hicks and Nola Rubin; five nieces and nephews; Brooke Longval, Teresa Duggan and her fiance J.K. Mundy, Robert Duggan and his wife Ellie Duggan, Matthew Duggan and his wife Stephanie Duggan and Abigail Duggan; and two brothers and one sister-in-law who are predeceased, Robert Duggan and his wife Teresa Duggan of North Andover, Massachusetts and John Duggan of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Frank's life was rich with friends and family who adored him and he will be dearly missed.
