Kathryn M. (Henry) Woods, 64, of Lowell, died Friday morning, April 11th at her home following an extended illness.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, September 8, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert M. and the late Eleanor R. (Hansbury) Henry, she attended St. Margaret Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School in the Class of 1967. She then went on to attend Mt. Wachusett Community College.
Most recently, Kathryn was employed with Boston Scientific in North Chelmsford, formerly known as Bard E.P. and Tyco International. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Post Office in North Chelmsford, the V.A. Medical Center in Lowell and was an usher with the Lowell Spinners.
Among her many interests, Kathryn was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed reading, going to the beach and socializing. She especially cherished her Friday night gatherings with her friends to socialize in their “Happy Room”.
An accomplished writer of poetry, she had much of her writings published.
Kathryn is survived by two sons Brian K. Woods and his wife Nancy of Dracut, MA and Robert L. Woods and his wife Marissa Webb of San Jose, CA; two step-grandchildren Chrisy Michaud of Dracut, MA and Josh Michaud and his wife Paola of Medford, MA; a sister Susan B. Albee and her husband Steven of Chelmsford, MA; three brothers Robert M. Henry, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Alfred, ME, Michael E. Henry and his wife Susan of Los Angeles, CA and Timothy J. Henry and his wife Gerry of North Hampton, NH; five nieces and nephews Wyatt Henry, Craig Henry, Mollie Henry, Meghan Albee and Mark Albee.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH in North Chelmsford at 11 o’clock. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Committal Services will be held privately. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
