Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 90
 
 Lucy M. (Wetherbee) Leahey, 90, of Lowell, died Thursday, January 1st at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell with her loving family by her side. She was beloved wife of the late John J. Leahey who died August 13, 1990.
 Born in Ayer, Massachusetts, December 26, 1924, daughter of the late Clarence and the late Margaret (Burgess) Wetherbee, she received her education in the Ayer school system.
 Before retiring, Lucy was employed as a Linen Attendant with the former Basbane’s Linen Service in Lowell for over 20 years.
 Among her many activities, Lucy especially enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo. She was a member of the St. Patrick Church Ladies Sodality and volunteered much of her time to numerous activities at St. Patrick Church, St. Patrick School and community.
 Lucy was known by all to be about family. A devoted housewife and caretaker, she tended to her husband’s and brother’s needs when they both became ill. She also loved and cherished the quality time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 Lucy is survived by three daughters Louise Long and her husband James of Tyngsboro, MA, Linda Gagnon and her husband Carl of Dracut, MA and Joanne Leahey Sylvester and her husband Charles of Lowell, MA; two sons John J. Leahy, of Boston, MA and James M. Leahey of Lowell, MA; nine grandchildren JoLynn VanDinter and her husband Walter, Neal Boissonneault and his wife Tanya, Nicole White and her husband Greg, Jaimie Boissonneault, Jessica Rezendes and her husband Mark, Erin Crawford and her husband Derek, Steven Long, Michael Gagnon and Meaghan Gagnon; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH (lower church) in Lowell at 11 o’clock. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
