Francis P. “Frank” Ellismember of well known Lowell familyFrancis P. "Frank" Ellis, 90, a member of a well known Lowell family, died Tuesday at his home of natural causes.He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, July 8, 1924, the son of Habib and Deeba (Halaly) Ellis, who were early 20th century Syrian immigrants during Lowell's mill era.Frank received his education from the Lowell school system.Unable to serve in WWII due to flat feet, Frank fought the war at home working with Ford Motor Company and at the Naval Shipyard, among other positions.A lifelong communicant of St. George Antiochian Church in Lowell, Frank was also active with the Lowell Senior Citizens.He is survived by a brother, George Ellis and his wife Frances of Chelmsford, and five nephews.Friends may call at ST. GEORGE ANTIOCHIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH, 44 BOWERS ST. in Lowell from 11 to 12 o’clock Tuesday morning. His Funeral Service will begin at 12 o’clock Noon at Church.
