Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend

Regina M. (Ahearn) (Loreto) (Ferbert) Oteri, 73, of Lowell, died Friday evening at her home in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.

She was the former wife of Alfred R. Loreto, and wife of the late Richard A. Ferbert and the late Anthony Oteri.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Herbert L. and the late Rita (Boyle) Ahearn, she received her education in the Chelmsford school system.

Prior to her retirement from Lowell General Hospital, Regina was a Rehabilitation Counselor at the Tewksbury Rehabilitation Center.

Proud of her Irish heritage, Regina enjoyed Irish music, travelling, and bingo. However, what brought her the most joy was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by seven children, Patricia A. Cloutier and her fiancé John Morin of Lowell, Deborah A. Provencher of Grafton, Vickie R. Coderre and her husband Jeff of Dracut, Richard A. Ferbert of Leominster, Shawn F. Ferbert and his fiancée Penny Smith of Hudson, NH, Christine R. Ferbert and Keith A. Ferbert both of Lowell; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; six sisters Marylou Prescott and her husband Bob and  Barbara Gagnon and her husband James of Chelmsford, Marie Lessard and her husband Brian of Kingston, NH, M. Patricia Karl and her husband Edward of Missouri, Rita De’Vincentis and fiance Kevin Zappelli of Pepperell and Gail Thompson and her husband William of Missouri; two brothers John Ahearn and his wife Jeanne Mantarion of Hampton, NH and Bernard Ahearn and his wife Mary of Farmington, NH; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and her dear friends at the Town House of Lowell.

She was also the mother of the late Nancy Grace Oteri and sister of the late Frederick, Herbert, James, Jr., Daniel and Edward Ahearn and the late Joan Simpson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass Friday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in LOWELL at 10 o’clock. (Please meet at church).
