Loving father, brother and uncle, 56
Joseph B. Kraus, 56, of Lowell, died Saturday, October 31st at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born Shirley, Massachusetts, September 13, 1959, a son of the late Robert B. and the late Dorothy T. (Duffy) Kraus, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. A veteran of Desert Storm, Joe proudly served his country in the U.S Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer working as a Sonar Technician aboard submarines and retired after serving 20 years. Following retirement from the Navy, Joe was employed as a Customer Service Technical Supervisor with BTU International in North Billerica. Among his many activities, he was a First Aid Instructor for the American Red Cross. Joe is survived by a son Christopher L. Kraus and his wife Kristen of Nashua, NH; a daughter Carolyn J. Kraus of Mullica Hill, NJ; three sisters Louise Delage and her husband Roger of Milford, NH, Leonora Allen and her husband Paul of Hudson, NH and Theresa Martin of Chelmsford, MA; four brothers William Kraus and his wife Cheryl of Missouri, Robert Kraus and his wife Lee of Nashua, NH, Thomas Kraus and his wife Sandra of Lowell, MA and Leonard Bartini and his husband Peter of Springfield, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Albert Kraus. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 12 to 1 P.M. on Saturday immediately followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home.
