Gerald S. “Jerry” Pennaman, 86, a resident of Pelham, NH died Friday morning at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Beverly A. (Boyle) Pennaman with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Dracut, MA on June 13, 1929, a son of the late Turre and the late Mary (Sharkey) Pennaman, he grew up in Dracut and received his education in the Dracut school system. A proud veteran of the Korean War, Jerry served in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a systems analyst for Raytheon Corporation for over 40 years. Jerry was a communicant of St Patrick’s Church in Pelham, NH and was a member of the American Legion Post 100 and the John H. Hargreaves Memorial VFW Post 10722, both in Pelham. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf but most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Beverly, Jerry is survived by his sister in law, Elinore Laverty of Lowell and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Carolyn (Pond) Pennaman and his brother, Turre Pennaman. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 2 to 5 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM, NH at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
