Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, 86
 
 Cynthia (Economopoulos) Plakas, 86, of Peabody, formerly of Lowell, died Monday, December 7th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Plakas who died December 9, 2005.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, May 22, 1929, a daughter of the late George and the late Catherine (Ladopoulos) Economopoulos, she attended the Hellenic American School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1947. Eager to further her education, she then went on to attend Katherine Dell Secretarial School in Boston.
 Before retiring, Cynthia was employed as a Sales Associate with Filene’s Basement in Boston for over 25 years. Previously, she assisted her husband at his famous Blue Diner Restaurant in Boston which he opened after WW II and ran for over 34 years.
 Among her many activities, she enjoyed reading, knitting, singing and attending Social Groups at her Brooksby Village Community.
 Cynthia is survived by two daughters Diane Kalbarczyk and her husband Kris of Pleasanton, CA and Karen Guzelian and her husband Charles of Indian Land, SC; four granddaughters Emily, Melissa and Amanda Kalbarczyk all of Pleasanton, CA and Krista Abler and her husband Ryan of League City, TX; a grandson Michael Guzelian of Louisville, KY; a sister Christine Demetriou and her husband Chris of Lowell, MA and Marco Island, FL; and her nephews and nieces Dr. Steven Demetriou, Dr. Gary Demetriou, Christopher Andros, Cathy Economopoulos and Elizabeth Economopoulos.
 She was also sister of the late Martha Andros and the late Louis Economopoulos.
 Relatives and friends may call for visitation at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY in LOWELL from 9 to 10 A.M. on Monday. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following visitation 10 o’clock. Burial in Westlawn II Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at
