Kristine Elizabeth Miller, R.N.

Loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, 48

Kristine Elizabeth (Talty) Miller, R.N., 48, of Ayer, died peacefully on Saturday, December 19th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill with her loving family by her side following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved companion of David Bonacci who survives her.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, May 8, 1967, a daughter of Gerald F. and Deborah L (Ruggles) Talty of Jay, VT, she attended Hudson, NH schools and was a graduate of Alvirne High School in the Class of 1985. Eager to further her education and follow her dream, she then went on to graduate from Rivier College School of Nursing in Nashua as a Registered Nurse.
Before illness forced her retirement, Kristine was employed as a Registered Nurse with Tufts New England Medical Center Floating Hospital for Children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Among her many activities, she enjoyed gardening, skiing and her occasional trips to Las Vegas. She loved her house and was known to be always decorating or doing some kind of home improvements. She was also an avid New England Patriots fan. However, her true passion was her job as a Registered Nurse and she cherished caring for the babies and helping their families.
In addition to her parents and companion, Kristine is survived by her beloved daughter Kaylee R. Caruso of Ayer, MA and son Michael J. Miller of Milford, NH; a sister Kathleen M. Martino and her husband Rohn of Bedford, NH; a brother Gerald B. Talty, III and his wife Melissa of Hudson, NH; her paternal grandmother Catherine E. Talty of Bedford, NH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dogs Angel and Chloe.
Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Words cannot express how saddened I and all of your co-workers are, Katie. Too young, too pretty, too soon. You're in the thoughts and prayers of many - I hope that you and your family feel the warmth and love surrounding you and that it may bring all of you some level of comfort.

So sad and wishing we could be there to comfort you. Have special memories of Kristine as a bridesmaid in my wedding and from stories of her childhood from Scot. I think my favorite is when she and Katie came to NY after the accident and I looked out to see my two not-so-tall children staring up in wonder at their two beautiful cousins. Living far away, we know that there was much to Kristine that we only could hear about, but learning of her dedication to her work only enhances what we knew of her giving and beautiful spirit. I cannot imagine the pain all of you are feeling. My heart breaks for you. Kristine has been in my prayers for years, and now all of you will continue to be in my prayers as you move forward without her and look forward to the day you will embrace her again.
