Frances was a wonderful lady whose kindness to our family was a gift. She was a part of our family and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrea, Jim and other family members at this sad time.

Frances V. (Janesko) Howe, 87, of Chelmsford, formerly of Lowell, died Monday, May 9th at the Palm Center in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Howe who died February 9, 2008.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 14, 1928, a daughter of the late Adam and the late Mary (Gora) Janesko, she attended St. Stanislaus Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1946. Before retiring, Frances was employed in the Housekeeping Department at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell. Previously, she worked at Lowell Insulated Wire Company. Among her many activities, Frances was a member of the Lowell Senior Center. Frances is survived by a daughter Andrea Shelton and her husband Jimmy Lee of Lowell; a sister-in-law Barbara Scagos and her husband William of Largo, FL; a brother-in-law Michael A. Howe and his wife Carolyn of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews, among them Stanley Michalik of Dorchester, MA. She was also predeceased by her sisters Helen Vezina, Julia Michalik and Sophie Lis and her brothers Walter Janesko, John Janesko, Edward Janesko, Frank Janesko and Michael Janesko. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at FLETCHER in Lowell from 10 to 11 A.M. on Thursday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass immediately following visitation at the HOLY TRINITY POLISH CHURCH in Lowell at 11:30 o'clock. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell.
