MaryAnne Petrakos

Beloved sister, niece, cousin and friend, age 55;

MaryAnne Petrakos, 55, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends Tuesday evening at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 10, 1960, the beloved daughter of the late Charles N. and the late Jennie (Banakos) Petrakos, she received her special education in the Lowell school system.

Prior to her retirement, MaryAnne worked for American Training Inc. and Good Will Industries.

MaryAnne was a special person whose love for others knew no bounds. She gave a pure and unconditional love to everyone she met and her impact on those who knew her best will last forever. She will be deeply missed.

Among her many interests was her love of music, dancing, the movies and a good hamburger and Coca Cola.

MaryAnne is survived by her two brothers, whom felt blessed to have had her as their sister, their inspiration and friend, Nicholas C. “Niko” Petrakos and Peter C. Petrakos both of Lowell; her niece Yianoula S. Petrakos and her mother Krista Walton of Lowell; and her best friend, Jodie Plourde of Dracut; her aunt and godmother Irene Paras of Cape Cod; two aunts Claire Banakos of Bowie , MD and Pauline Zouzas of Chelmsford; and numerous cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher on Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 A.M. Her Funeral Service will follow at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY at 11 o’clock. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at odonnellfuneralhome.com.
