Agnes L. McPhillips

 
To those who knew her she was simply known as “Nana”;
 
 Agnes L. (Beauregard) McPhillips, 94, of Lowell, died Sunday, September 25th at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. McPhillips who died in January 18, 1981.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, May 22, 1922, a daughter of the late William J. and the late Catherine (McKenzie) Beauregard, she received her education at St. Patrick Girl’s School.
 Agnes was a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell.
 Before retiring, Agnes was employed with the Farnsworth Company in Lowell and Polaroid Corporation in Waltham.
 In her younger years, Agnes was an avid bowler and bingo player. Later in life, she played cribbage, poker and was a tremendous Red Sox and Patriots fan. She also ran the bingo for the seniors at the Townhouse of Lowell for over 16 years.
 Agnes is survived by two sons James J. McPhillips III and his wife Dorothy and Kevin P. McPhillips all of Lowell; a daughter-in-law Beverly McPhillips and her husband Dennis Pare of Lowell; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister Sr. Catherine Louise, S.N.D. of Ipswich, MA; two sisters-in-law Katherine McPhillips and Doris Beauregard; a brother-in-law Maurice McNulty; and many nieces and nephews.
 She was also mother of the late William (Billy) McPhillips and sister of the late Sr. Catherine St. Paul, S.N.D., Catherine McNulty, Irene Lopes, William Beauregard, Roland Beauregard, Ernest Beauregard and Robert Beauregard.
 The McPhillips family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. George Meltsakos, Melissa and Boston Nursing and the staff at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.
 Relatives and friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9 to 11 A.M. Thursday morning. Her Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 11 o’clock. Committal Services will be private. E-condolences/directions at

    Jim and Dot and family, we are sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. We have know her since 1969 and she was always a fun loving person. She enjoyed life and people and loved her gambling but most of all her family who also loved her very much. Death is always hard but if we are good to the person all our lives then it is a happy reunion. God Bless Agnesand heaven better be ready her.
