Angel L. Figueroa
Retired mechanic for Police and Fire Dept. City of Lowell
Angel L. Figueroa, 64, of Lowell, died Tuesday October 4, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, December 30, 1951, the son of the late Gerberto Figueroa Santana and the late Natividad Ortiz, he received his primary education in Puerto Rico.
After moving to the United States, he continued his education at U/Mass Lowell.
Angel was a proud member of the U.S. National Guard having served from 1977 to 1984.
For over 17 years, Angel worked as a mechanic for first the Lowell Fire Department and then the Lowell Police Department until his retirement in 2015.
Previously, he was employed by Wang Labs for several years.
An avid runner, he was a longtime member of the Lowell Road Runners Club.
Angel is survived by his son Alexander Figueroa of Lowell; a daughter Christina Dennis of Massachusetts; and several grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 12 to 1:30 P.M.
