Amelia “Mitzie” Ambrosino

 

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister

 

Amelia “Mitzie” (Mitsopoulos) Ambrosino, 86, of Chelmsford, died Thursday, December 8th at the Palm Center in Chelmsford with her loving family by her side following a brief illness.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Demetrius and the late Zoetsa Mitsopoulos, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Mitzie was a member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
Before retiring, she was employed as a cafeteria worker with Aramark Corporation at U/Mass Lowell.
Mitzie was known to be fun loving and witty, enjoyed dancing, playing poker and loved working with students at U/Mass Lowell. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. Above all else though, she cherished the quality time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mitzie is survived by two daughters Leslie Ambrosino and her husband Jonathan Sellars of Des Moines, IA and Audrey Ambrosino and her husband Gregg Lamping of Costa Rica; a son Anthony Ambrosino and his wife Heidi of North Chelmsford, MA; six grandchildren Andrew, Joshua and Lindsay Ambrosino and Jason, Christopher and Matthew Kalil; four great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Patenaude of Worcester, MA; a son-in-law Anthony Kalil of Dracut, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Lynne F. Kalil and sister of the late Constance Roy and the late Christopher Mitsopoulos.

 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 2 to 5 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday afternoon at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH of the HOLY TRINITY at 12:30 o’clock.
