Scagos, 82, of Largo, FL and Barrington, NH, but formerly of Lowell, died Wednesday morning at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, New Hampshire.He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Howe) Scagos, who survives him, and with whom he would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this Sunday.Born in Manlius, New York, July 25, 1934, a son of the late Evangelos G. and the late Eugenicoula (Troubataris) Scagos, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1952.A sales and marketing representative for most of his career, Bill, spent over 25 years with Sager Electronics until his retirement in 1996.A past member of UCT, Bill had many interests including cooking, gardening, bingo and shopping for collectables, however, his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.He was also a kind and thoughtful man who took great happiness out of helping others throughout his life. For those who knew him well he will be deeply missed.Besides his wife, Bill is survived by three children W. Brian Scagos of Jacksonville, FL, Cheryl Langlois and her husband Michael of Barrington, NH and Neil P. Scagos and his fiancée Stephanie Syllaba of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother George Scagos of Barrington, RI,; a sister Cynthia Natsios of Tyngsborough; four grandchildren David O’Donnell and his wife Julia, Nicole O’Donnell, Christie Lynn Scagos and William B. Scagos, Jr.; step grandchildren Nicole and Robert Langlois; great grandchildren Luke, Sam, Tommy and Courtney; many special nieces and nephews; and his special cousins in the Patsourakos and Mangiavas families.Relatives and friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9:00 A.M to 12:00 Noon Saturday morning with his Funeral Service to be celebrated at 11:30 A.M.
