  • Kathy Dunphy Skala  - Happy Childhood Memories
To the Hutchins family...my deepest condolences. When I heard about Linda’s death, I of course was deeply saddened. But my sadness quickly turned to the wonderful memories of our childhood. They came to mind like pictures in an album...”Hutch”, the two of us walking to St. Mark’s School, you hopping hydrants in your wonderful outfits (treasures from your mom’s many trips to Filene’s), writing a song in the 7th grade to help us remember copulative verbs, heading to the Adams St theater to see the Eddie Duchin story, playing ball against the brick block, enjoying the famous Brownie Bar after school, May Processions, our fathers working at Church, your mother’s great cooking, your sister Susie, and brothers Billy and Richard, my Halloween parties, Christmas excitement, the best Easter outfits, going to scholarship class every Saturday morning, separating after 8 yrs to go to different High Schools, SNDs, teaching Jr. High together at Holy Rosary...so many memories. We had such wonderful families, such good, fun times. I’m forever grateful for Linda being such a good friend! May you Rest In Peace!! Love, Kathy Dunphy Skala

SINCERE SYMPATHIES to the entire Hutchins Family and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Community. Being a dear friend of Linda's sister Susan, I did not know Linda well, but had the pleasure of meeting her on a couple occasions. All the members of the Hutchins family I've met, as well as Linda's fellow Sisters are ALL GOOD, KIND PEOPLE...my HEART goes out to all of them who have been blessed with Linda's presence. IN SYMPATHY & LOVE, Roger Dumont
