George M. Psoinos
Well- known Greater Lowell developer;
It is with great sadness that the family of George M. Psoinos announces his passing on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at home surrounded by his family after a valiant battle against cancer. George was the beloved husband of Renee A. (Delisle) Psoinos of Hudson, NH, who survives him and with whom he recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on June 8, 1950, a son of the late Michael and the late Vasilike “Bessie” (Tsoulias) Psoinos. In 1960, the family relocated to Dracut, Massachusetts where he built his lifelong friendships and connections. George graduated from Dracut High School in 1968 and set out to be a successful well-known entrepreneur and developer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. George would do anything for anyone and was known as the life of the party, always with a smile on his face. In his spare time, George was past president and a 40-year member of Vesper Country Club. He cherished his time playing golf, the “3 G’s” and making memories with friends and family. In addition to his wife Renee, he is survived by daughters Valerie Nelson and her husband Will of Londonderry, NH and Kristina Psoinos of Nashua, NH; his brothers Chris Michaels Psoinos and his wife Barbara of Nashua, NH and Daniel M. Psoinos and his wife Janice of Pelham, NH.; his brother’s in Law and their wives, Mark and Patricia Delisle, Paul and MaryAnne Delisle and Stephen and Karen Delisle all of Dracut, MA; his nephews Michael Psoinos (Jacqueline) and their children Zachary and Cameron, Cavan, Ian and Ross Delisle as well as nieces Katie Psoinos (Joseph Robinson) and Meghan Campbell (Brian) and their children Liam and McCartney. He is also survived by his paternal aunt, Irene Demoulas and her family. George will also be remembered by a special family, Kerry Slattery and her sons Chase and Conor of Dracut, MA.; his Godchildren, Dan Villemaire, and Mary Katsikas; as well as his long-time best friends and business partners Paul Villemaire and Steven Coravos. George was well-loved and well-respected and will be sorely missed by many extended family and friends. George’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Leslie Fang and the physicians at Mass General Hospital, Jody White and Dr. Blair Ardman and their team from Lowell General Hospital as well as the staff at D’Youville Manor, the generous “angels” from Home Health and Hospice and the wonderful staff at Heaven Sent Home Care in Nashua NH. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 3 to 7 P.M. Thursday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service Friday morning at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY 5 Lewis St in Lowell at 11 o’clock followed by burial in Westlawn II Cemetery in Lowell.
