Loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle
 
    Frederick T. Blanchard, 76, of Lowell, died peacefully, Saturday, February 10th at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane M. (Hodges) Blanchard who died February 4, 2011.
    Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 21, 1941, a son of the late Frederick M. and the late Anna (Flynn) Blanchard, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1961.
    Before retiring, Mr. Blanchard was employed as a boiler engineer at Phillips Academy in Andover for over 40 years. Previously, he worked in that same capacity at Malden Hospital in Malden.
    Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, camping, photography and anything that challenged him working with his hands. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan.
    Being all about family, Fred loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Blanchard is survived by three sons Thomas F. Blanchard and Timothy D. Blanchard both of Lowell and Kenneth S. Blanchard and his wife Kathy of Chelmsford; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was also grandfather of the late Crystal Lynn Blanchard who died Christmas Eve of 2010 and brother of the late Richard F. Blanchard. Relatives and friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday. All Funeral and Committal Services will be held privately.
