Beloved wife, mother, nana, sister and friend
A. Patricia Caron, 91, resident of the Highland section of Lowell died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the D’Youville Life and Wellness Community after battling Alzheimer’s Disease for many years.
She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Caron with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 26, 1929, the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Agnes (Coakley) O’Hare, she received her education at St. Patrick’s Grammar School and St. Patrick’s Girls High School.
She began her career as a clerk at the Middlesex County Registry of Deeds in Lowell. She then went on to work for the Lowell School Department at the school administrative offices and at the Molloy School for many years. A job she truly loved!
Pat loved spending time with her family and friends traveling to the beach and going on trips. Some of her most memorable trips were to Florida, Las Vegas, Aruba, and Branson, Missouri as well as her many cruises. She especially enjoyed her “Mystery Rides” with her daughters, sisters and nieces. Pat would be the first in line at the Senior Center to sign up for a bus trip!
She is survived by her two sons, John J. Caron Jr. and D. Michael Caron both of Lowell; two daughters, Ann Marie Murphy and her husband Kevin of Lowell and Patricia Myers and her husband Barry of Gilford, NH; and her dear sister Marie Sherman of Lowell, with whom she spent the last six months.
She also leaves seven grandchildren, Joshua Lach, Joseph Lach, Kevin T. Murphy and his wife Carolyn, Matthew Myers, Bradley Myers, Erin Myers and Sarah Myers as well as five great grandchildren, Cayden, Bennett, Levi, Elizabeth and Luna. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her sister Anne V. Stewart and her husband Roy J. Stewart and her in-laws, Mary LaRiche, Edward and Alice Zaniewski, Joseph and Claire Dowling, and Robert and Ruth Upton.
