Scot J. Schermerhorn

Beloved brother, uncle and friend;

Scot Joseph Schermerhorn, 53, of Grafton, Massachusetts passed away Monday Dec 13, 2021, after a yearlong illness.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, December 12, 1968, the son of the late Howard A. and the late Helen M. (Bennett) Schermerhorn, Scot grew up and lived for many years in Billerica, Massachusetts.

Scot graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in the Class of 1987, where he was a multi-sport athlete and made lifelong friends. A graduate of UMass-Lowell with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, he lived and worked in the Boston area for many years, most recently as sales manager in the electronic security services industry.

A member of a rather large family, Scot enjoyed attending sporting events and concerts with his friends and family and brought laughter wherever he went.

Scot is survived by four brothers, Mark Schermerhorn of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Glen Schermerhorn and his wife Anne Marie of Lowell, MA, Todd Schermerhorn and his wife Kate of Mendham, NJ, and Gary Schermerhorn and his wife Miriam Esteve of Key Biscayne, Fl.

He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Stacey Kasch and her husband Jason, MaryBeth Gregory and her husband Matt, Bret Schermerhorn and his wife Sarah, Kyle Schermerhorn and his wife Morgan, Courtney, Nicholas and Tyler Schermerhorn, Ryan, Brady and Colin Schermerhorn, Louis Schermerhorn and his wife Chelsea Taylor, Thomas and Henry Schermerhorn.

Scot was pre-deceased by his sister-in-law Judith Schermerhorn.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST.  in LOWELL on Friday evening December 17th from 4 – 7 P.M. followed by a Family Eulogy at 7:00 P.M.  at the Funeral Home (Per the City of Lowell, as of 12/16/2021, the wearing of masks is required upon entrance into any funeral home). Later, a private burial service will be held for the immediate family. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
