Mary was my roommate when we lived and worked in Boston. A fun filled time.
Mary enjoyed the city and network. She was well respected as the secretary for the top engineer In the company she worked.. . Mary. Continued to live in Boston when I left to marry my husband . She had many friends, enjoyed attending the theatre and walks through the Boston Garden especially when flowers were in bloom. There was always something going on our River Street apartment with Ginnie, Barbara and Jane as room mates.we had parties and attended friends parties, and sailed on the Charles River. Mary P. Lynch Mary P. Lynch, 92, formerly of Lowell and Boston but most recently of Tyngsboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at the Westford House in Westford, MA with many of her family by her side.Born in Lowell, MA, November 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Leo A. Lynch Sr. and the late Grace M. (Kennedy) Lynch. She attended Lowell High School in the class of 1947 where she also served as a Girl Officer. Mary continued her education at the Harvard University Extension School.Prior to her retirement in 1990, Mary spent over 30 years with the Harvard University School of Business, most recently as the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations.Mary led an active life and was a busy volunteer for Mass General Hospital, the New England Aquarium and various food pantries and soup kitchens. An ardent Boston sports fan, she followed the Patriots and Red Sox. She enjoyed painting, traveling, reading and showing the wonders of Boston to the children of her family.Mary was all about family and felt blessed to be surrounded by so many whom she loved so deeply. She is survived by a sister-in-law: Burke (McCready) Lynch of Belvedere, IL; many dear nieces and nephews, among them her nephew Michael Renk and his wife Janet of Tyngsboro who provided her with loving comfort and care while she resided with them; many grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews; and many friends.In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her Sister and Brother-in-law Joan F. (Lynch) and C. Thomas Renk, her Sister and Brother-in-law, Dorothy H. (Lynch) and John V. McQuade, and her Brother Leo A. Lynch Jr.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Wednesday morning November 16, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Her Funeral Mass will follow at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND CHURCH in Lowell at 12 o’clock Noon. Burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell, MA.
