Charles G. “Chuck” Spanos, Jr., 63, a long-time resident of Lowell died on Thursday May 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.He was the loving husband of Nancy (Barbuzzi) Spanos for 9 years, who survives him.Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 11, 1959, the son of Charles "Chaz" G. Spanos, Sr., of Hudson, NH, and the late Carole G. (Hodgdon) Spanos.Chuck dedicated his career at Raytheon Technologies for more than 40 years, working mostly in the Security Department. He was also a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association for over 16 years in which he saved many lives.In 2021 and 2022 had the opportunity to travel to Qatar on behalf of Raytheon Corp. where he spent a total of 10 months.He had a love for all Boston sports teams.A car and motorcycle enthusiast, Chuck had a love for his Mustang and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was also a member of the Insurgent Crew Motorcycle Club going on rides for those in need.Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Shaun C. Spanos and his husband Jeff, and his grandchildren Liam and Naomie of Burlington, MA; his daughter Crystal A. Spanos and her wife LeAnne of Haverhill, MA; two sisters - Charlene and Ron Morrissey of Hudson, NH, and Sandra and Tim Thibodeau of Houston, TX; and his brother Chris and Amy Spanos of Wilmington, MA. A special godchild Meagan Willman of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.At his request, Chuck would like to make special mention of some very important people: Matt Roberts and Kristina Ferguson; Nick and Rebecca Ramsay; Steve and Sandy Burl and Robert Manley as well as the Insurgent Crew Motorcycle Club for their support during his illness.He will be forever missed by his loving family and friends.He was also the brother-in-law of the late Audrey Spanos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation to be held at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Sunday May 21, 2023, from 3 to 6 P.M.
