Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great-Grandfather and Uncle

Peter M. Bauer, Jr, 92, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday August 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Germaine (Hall) Bauer, who predeceased him in
September of 2012.

Born in Lowell, MA, May 2, 1931, the son of the late Peter M. Sr, and the late Blanche (Pelletier) Bauer, he attended Lowell schools and Lowell High School.

Peter went on to proudly serve his country as a combat veteran during the Korean War.  He was in the first Cavalry Division and 8th Combat Engineers of the U.S. Army.

During his professional career, Peter owned and operated Bauer and Son Caulking Company in Dracut for over 45 years.

Among his many interests, Peter enjoyed playing golf, traveling to Mohegan Sun, watching baseball and football, and was an avid Patriots and RedSox fan.

He is survived by two daughters: Diane M. Shaughnessey of Dracut, MA and Donna L. Nicholaou and her husband James Dunn of Salem, New Hampshire, a son Peter M. Bauer III, and his wife Doris of Nashua, NH.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father-in-law of the late Dennis Shaughnessey and the late Daniel Nicholaou, grandfather of the late Lee Tamir and great grandfather of the late Brianna Tamir. He was also the brother of the late Francis Bauer, Joseph Bauer, and Rita Maslanka.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Committal Prayers on Friday September 1, 2023, at ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY CHAPEL in CHELMSFORD at 12:00 Noon.
