Unfortunately I did not see the bereavement notice that Long Meadow sent out. I missed the services and will never forgive myself for it. Geri and Bob were both terrific people. I’m a better person for having known them. Geri, I know you will forgive me for not being there. May you rest in peace. I will never forget you! See you on the other side my friend!

Geraldine DiGiacomoBeloved mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend;Geraldine “Geri” (Fidler) DiGiacomo, formerly of Tewksbury and Chelmsford Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 18, 2023, at D’Youville Senior Care after a long illness.
One of nine children, Geri was born in Charlestown Massachusetts, to the late Edward J. and the late Esther J. (Miller) Fidler and grew up in Wilmington and later in Tewksbury where she graduated from High School in 1961.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert ‘Bob’ DiGiacomo with whom she had been married for 25 years.
A devoted mother to her four children and her grandchildren, Geri loved spending time with her family and friends.
Geri had a career for many years at Wang Laboratories where she rose through the ranks to become one of the first women director of marketing.
An avid and accomplished golfer, Geri was proud to have made two holes in one in her golf career, one in Florida and one at her home course at Long Meadow Golf Club. She was an advocate for opening the sport to women and played a key role in helping to establish the Women’s City tournament, in which she represented Long Meadow for several years.
Geri and Bob enjoyed their many years at Deerfield Beach Florida where she was an active communicant and volunteer at her church, Our Lady of Mercy.
She is survived by her children Mark Adley and his partner Robby Olsen of California, Michael Adley and his husband Giovanni Fortini of New York City, Richard Adley and his wife Debra of Chelmsford, and Tracy (Adley) Murray and her husband David of Dracut; and her stepdaughters Julie DiGiacomo Kitner and Donna Lacerte and her husband Roland of Hudson, NH; her 7 grandchildren; Olivia Adley, Christopher Adley, Connor Adley, Hannah Warnock, Breanne Adley, Mathew Dubois and Alexander Dubois and six great grandchildren. Geri is also survived by her sisters and their spouses Dotty Surrette of Highland, MD, Lorraine Johnston of Pelham, NH, Essie O’Donnell of Chelmsford, Jacqueline Moloney and her husband Edward of Tewksbury; Micki Rooney and her husband Kevin of Berlin, MA, Rosemary Dolbeare and her husband Michael of Goffstown, NH, her brother-in-law James Lewis of Temple, NH, along with many nieces and nephews.
Geri was predeceased by her beloved sister Peggy Lewis and her brother Edward Fidler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday May 26, 2023, at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH 144 East Merrimack St, Lowell MA at 11 o’clock.
