Joe, Mary Ellen and Family, I am so sorry for your loss.
  • Mark Cistulli  - He got his back into his livin'
Fitz was one of the most important people in my life in my 20s – we attended Boston College together and met as freshmen in our dorm. We enjoyed similar musical interests and a penchant for appreciating tasty beverages. We shared some of the most fun, difficult, crazy, sad, and adventurous times in our lives. I have no words clever or impactful enough to ease the grief of his family and friends, but please know that my family and I will never forget him. He was a true original. Here’s to you, Fitzy. “May you be in heaven a full half hour before the devil knows you are dead.”

  • Matthew Brennan  - Old Friend
am very sorry to hear of Matthew’s passing. My deepest condolences to Jennifer, Joe, Mary Ellen and family. I have many fond memories of growing up with Matt on Clark Road. In particular the day he called me up to come over and see this new cable channel called MTV. Our first concert AC-DC at the Centrum. The Who simulcast and WWF Wrestling with Andre the Giant at the auditorium. Matt’s enthusiasm for Stephen King novels, movies. And not so much enthusiasm for our Senior league baseball no-win Brewers team. Hoops games in the driveway. Attending Celts games when those coveted floor tickets became available. Dinner at Joe Teccis. Better yet sharing his grandmother’s chicken divan with her proud grandson. Lazy days at the beach house in North Hampton. Racket ball. And of course road trips to Kimbals, the ultimate ice cream stand. I will hold on to those memories of Fitzy- keeping him and his family in my heartfelt prayers.
