Richard J. “Dick” Willey Beloved father, grandfather, and brother;
Richard J. “Dick” Willey, 75, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Lakeview House Nursing Home in Haverhill, MA. He was the loving husband of the late Crisantos (Achin) Willey, who predeceased him. Born in Lowell, MA, February 25, 1949, the son of the late James E. and the late Mary “Molly” (Payton) Early, he attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and Lowell High School.
Dick worked as a guard for the Boott Cotton Mills in Lowell for many years. Previously, he volunteered his time as an auxiliary police officer for the Lowell Police Department from 1967 to 1973.
Among his many interests, Dick was a cowboy movie enthusiast and a Star Trek aficionado. He also collected exotic animals including tropical parrots and Burmese pythons.
Dick is survived by a son, Richard J. Willey and a grandson, Hunter Willey, both of Tyngsboro, MA; three brothers, David F. Willey of Tyngsboro, MA, James Willey and his wife Mary of Haverhill, MA, and Matthew Willey and his wife Loni of Abingdon, VA; a sister, Mary Ann DeMello and her husband Neil Silverblatt of Dennis Port, MA; and a nephew, Andrew Willey of Boston, MA.
