Terryl L. (Tomlinson) Viana
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister.Terryl (Tomlinson) Viana – Terry - to family and friends, 67, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital. She is now at peace after a long struggle with early on-set Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. She was a difficult, and wonderful woman. She was determined to give love a chance; and she did, three, four, or five times, we were never sure how many. She inspired fearlessness and resilience in us. For that, we will always be grateful. She was a fabulous rollerskater, and enthusiastic dancer. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She was very fond of fringe, sequins, Cher, Bob Seager, Grease, men, marijuana, and smoking cigarettes. She also loved listening to the trials and tribulations of lovelorn teenagers. Terry was always good for a smoke and a chat. Born in Ruislip, England, January 19, 1957, the daughter of Forrest A. Tomlinson, who survives her, and the late Ivy (Stafford) Tomlinson, she graduated from Conway High School in Conway, Arkansas, and gained her associate degree in Phlebotomy. Prior to her retirement, Terry worked for Lab Corps in Lowell, MA and previously at Lowell General Hospital as a Phlebotomist. Terry was the loving wife of Ernandes M. Viana, of Lowell, MA, who survives her. Besides her father and husband, she is survived by two daughters: Alicia Teague and her husband Matthew Quigley of Southbridge, MA, and Shelley Teague of Lowell, MA; three grandchildren Selena, Christian and Owen; a great-granddaughter Aurora (Rory); she is also survived by a sister Sherryl Hibberd and her husband Johnny of Conestoga, Pennsylvania. We are relieved that she is at peace and no longer suffering. Relative and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Thursday February 15, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be held privately for the family at a later date. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA, 02452 or quitting smoking.
