  • Barbara Baroni Flanagan  - Former Wedeln Ski Club Charter Member/Roommate
Nancy was our LHS ‘56 Class Odis (the writer of our Class Ode), a bright student who, after graduation , while working with Raytheon male engineers got a dozen of her female friends ( mostly teachers ) to agree to join their “day-tripping Wedeln Ski Club men” in a rental of an entire Inn in Jackson, NH. ..in late Dec. 1961. I met my husband (of 62yrs.) Ed, an Innitou Ski Runner, & weekend Ski patrolman @ Black Mt. that very first week. Nancy and I were roommates in our doubled bunked room with 2 other gals. The next year we Wedelns all bought a hotel and joined the EICSLeague as Lowell-based Club for socializing and racing. It still thrives in nearby Norh Conway?T We’ve kept in touch after her return to the states , mostly through lunches and reunions …and most recently only greeting cards as Nancy, surprisingly, did not resort to any social media contacts, nor usage! She was a good person, very bright and hardworking and will Rest in Peace. May God Bless her. We extend our condolences to her family. Sincerely, Barbara (Baroni)Flanagan
