Kathleen T. (Hart) Donoghue, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday January 6, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with declining health.
She was the loving wife for over 54 years of Daniel J. Donoghue, who survives her.
Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, December 30, 1951, the daughter of the late James E. and the late Mary E. (Bresnahan) Hart, she attended St Jeromes, Sacred Heart and Holyoke Catholic High School in Holyoke. She continued her education at Holyoke Community College.
A dedicated professional, Kathleen served as a realtor in the Greater Lowell area for over 39 years, helping countless families find their homes.
Before her career in real estate, Kathleen worked as a Montessori school teacher, shaping the minds of young learners with her kindness and patience.
She also served as a CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister for many years. Kathleen cherished the time spent with her family and took great joy in nurturing those she loved.
Kathleen enjoyed dining out, sharing laughter and stories, and relaxing with her favorite old movies and show tunes. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who know her.
Besides her husband Dan, she is survived by two sons Daniel H. Donoghue of Bend, OR and Brian S. Donoghue and his wife Nicole of Westford, MA; five grandchildren Sean Donoghue, Brenna Donoghue and Claire Donoghue all of Westford and Aidan and Hart Donoghue of Bend, OR; two sisters Mary Ellen Kraft and her husband William of Marblehead and Patricia Ann Murphy and her husband James of Holyoke; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL, MA 01854 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM . A Funeral Mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, January 11, at 10:00 AM, followed by her Committal Services at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tewksbury, MA.
