Margaret M. Lenzi, R. N.
Our cherished Margaret, affectionately known as “Auntie Marg” to us and all who came in contact with her…

Margaret M. Lenzi, R.N., 93, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully Saturday January 25, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lowell, MA, July 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Bruno and the late Mary (Schiripo) Lenzi, she attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School Class of 1945. Margaret was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1949, (also known as the “49ers”) and then St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1953. Later she received her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College.

Prior to her retirement, Margaret was with the Lowell Visiting Nurse’s for over 35 years and was also the Home Care Coordinator at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell for 25 years.

Margaret loved to travel with family and friends, especially to Seabrook, NH and Cape Cod, MA and Maine. In addition, she was an active alumna of Lowell High School and was very proud of her graduating Class, the 49ers, where many lifelong friends and relationships were started.

However, Auntie Marg’s great joy was when she was with her family, especially her beloved nieces and nephews. She always made any room she entered a better and more fun place to be. She will be dearly missed.

Margaret is survived by a sister-in-law Joan M. (Leahy) Lenzi of Lowell; three nephews Michael J. Lenzi and his wife Sandy of Dracut, Christopher J. Lenzi of Tyngsboro and Albert F. Lenzi, Jr. of Troy, NY; a niece Jo-Ann Lenzi of Tyngsboro; her aunt Dorothy Potvin of Dracut; 15 grand nieces and nephews; 15 great grand nieces and nephews; several dear cousins Elaine, Linda, John and Donna; and her dear friend, the late Dottie Gaumont. Margaret and Dottie could be found at the Tavern at Lenzi’s on Friday nights.

She was the sister of the late Albert “Al” Lenzi and the late John Lenzi and the longtime companion of the late Walter F. Polak.

The Lenzi family would also like to thank the staff on the 4th floor of Lowell General Hospital for their outstanding care, concern and compassion for Auntie Marg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Friday morning February 7, 2025, at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH in LOWELL at 10:30 A.M. (Please meet at Church).
