Christine (Chiklis) Stamas

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend

Christine (Chiklis) Stamas, 87, of Tyngsboro passed into eternity on Wednesday evening after a brief illness. Christine was a longtime resident of Lowell, well-known and loved by many.

She was the devoted wife to the love of her life, the late Harry Stamas, to whom she was married for over 61 years.

Christine was predeceased by her parents, Christy and Sophie (Koulias) Chiklis of Lowell, who she cared for selflessly for many years.

A graduate of Lowell High School in 1953, she worked for the Union National Bank. After her marriage to Harry, she dedicated herself to raising her children for twenty years. She then worked for the Area Health Education Center and the College of Music at the University of Lowell, where she enjoyed putting her secretarial skills to good use.

Above all, she was a faithful Christian woman who lived for her husband, children, grandchildren, and her church family. Throughout her lifetime, she served on many charitable committees and participated in the parish’s life to the fullest.

Her last thirty years were spent with many friends and family, helping to raise and nurture her five grandchildren, singing in the Transfiguration Church choir, and caring for Harry, who passed away in 2021 after a long illness. Christine was truly loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. Her legacy is that she leaves behind a beautiful example of faith, joy, love, kindness, generosity, and goodness in every way.

She is survived by her three children, Louis Stamas of Tyngsborough, Rev. Christopher Stamas and his wife, Penny, of Holden, and Sandra Stamas Gulezian and her husband, Marc, of Tyngsboro. She also leaves behind the greatest joys of her life, her grandchildren: Stephanie, Olivia, and Zachary Gulezian as well as Christiana and Elaina Stamas.  She maintained a very active social life and she leaves behind many friends and relatives who will miss her deeply.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Christine was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Charles and Nicholas Chiklis, as well as many relatives in the Lowell area.

Funeral Services will take place at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, on Tuesday February 6, at 10:00 am. Charlene A. (Spanos) (Aubin) Morrissey

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother “Yia Yia,” daughter, sister, daughter-in-law.

Charlene A. (Spanos) (Aubin) Morrissey, 65, of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 26, 2024, at her Hudson home.

Charlene was a loving wife for 38 years, to Ronald P. Morrissey of Hudson, NH, who survived her.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 6, 1958, the daughter of Charles Spanos, and late Carole (Hodgdon) Spanos. Daughter-in-law to late Donald Morrissey, and late Rita Morrissey. She received her education through theLowell school system. Among many interests, she loved BINGO and was an avid doll collector. Her greatest joy was becoming a “Yia Yia.” Prior to her retirement, Charlene owned and operated All Shine House Cleaning and previously was the Sales Representative for Wang Laboratories for over 15 years.

Besides her husband, Charlene is survived by a son Eric Aubin and his wife Kara of Hudson, NH. Five grandchildren Keegan, Leah, Victoria, Aidan, and Jaxson. Sister Sandra Thibodeau and her husband Tim, a brother Chris Spanos and his wife Amy, her late brother Charles “Chucky” Spanos, Jr. and wife Nancy, sister-in-law Debbie Morrissey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with Godson Greg Aubin.She was the widow of the late Rodney Aubin and daughter-in-law to Blanche Aubin.

Donna M. Janowicz

Beloved Sister and Dear Friend

Donna M. Janowicz, 75, a lifelong Lowell resident, peacefully died Friday evening, January 26, at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell on July 12, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Ned and Barbara (Coury) Abodeely. She attended Lowell Schools graduating from Lowell High School, Class of 1966.  She then graduated from Northern Essex Community College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.  Donna received her Masters Degree in Special Needs Education from Leslie College.

For many years, Donna was a Special Needs teacher in the Lowell School System teaching at both the Laurel Lee Therapeutic Day School and the Shaughnessy Elementary School. She also was the recording secretary for the Lowell United Teachers Union.

Donna had many interests and hobbies in her life including shopping, fashion, the beach, her cats, ice skating, dining out, and cooking.

She is survived by a sister, Robin Bancewicz and her husband Steve of Hampton, NH; a brother, Ned Abodeely and his wife Marian of Nashua, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a dear friend, Stella Mc Auliffe and her husband Robert of Lowell.

Marcia Kelleher

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend;

Marcia (Kostka) Kelleher, age 90, died on Monday January 22, 2024, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her dearly beloved late husband, John F. Kelleher.

Born August 30, 1933, she was the daughter of John P. Kostka and Stephanie (Miga) Kostka.  A life-long resident of Lowell, Marcia was a proud graduate of St. Michael School and Lowell High School, Class of 1951, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

After high school graduation, Marcia was employed as a secretary at Courier Citizen in Lowell.  Following her marriage to Jack Kelleher in 1954, Marcia was a devoted wife and mother.  She showed unconditional love to her seven children.  When her children were grown, Marcia and her husband were the owners and operators of a printing business, Jay Graphics Inc., located in Dracut, MA.

Throughout her life, Marcia enjoyed many activities.  In her younger years, she loved to go out dancing. She played the piano while her husband sang.  She liked to travel - whether it was a longer trip to Bermuda or Ireland or Disney World - or a day trip to the ocean or Vermont.  Marcia was an avid reader and enjoyed word puzzles of all kinds.  Most of all, she delighted in spending time with her family.

Marcia lived a faith-filled life.  She was a parishioner of The Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell, participating in the Prayer Group for several years.  Marcia was kind, caring and friendly toward everyone she met.

Marcia is survived by her seven children. Five daughters Rosemary K. Nunnally and her husband Bill of Pembroke NH, Anne K. Hayes and her husband Ian of Beverly, Katherine M. Howe and her husband Tom of Tyngsboro, Paula J. Kelleher, and Patty Moriarty and her husband Dan of Lowell; two sons John F. Kelleher Jr. and his wife Wendy of Orange and William H. Kelleher (Marcia’s constant companion and caregiver).  She is also survived by nine dearly loved grandchildren Dylan Kelleher, Ethan (Molly) Kelleher, Bill Nunnally, Meaghan (John) Bowler, Danny Moriarty, Sarah Cassella, Stephen Cassella, Abigail Howe, and Jessica Hayes (Andrés).  Marcia also leaves five loving great-grandchildren: Amelia, Jack, Olivia, Milo and Lucia.  She is survived by her sister Patricia A. Kostka and many nieces and nephews.

Marcia was the sister of the late John Kostka, Virginia Martin, Alan Kostka and Stephen Kostka and sister-in-law of the late James and Dot Kelleher and Beaven and Kathy Roche.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday January 27, 2024, at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 11 o’clock followed by her burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
